My Story

Steve John is a Founding Partner and senior consultant of John and Snyder. He and his Partner, Jason Snyder, launched John and Snyder to serve organizations in their effort to grow and develop in-house legal talent. He brings a wealth of experience recruiting attorneys from a wide range of disciplines, including corporate governance, tax, commercial transactions, capital markets, intellectual property, complex litigation, and employment law. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, national civil rights and environmental advocacy nonprofits, and large private foundations.

Steve holds Executive Coaching and Systemic Team Coaching certificates from the University of California, Davis, and is an ICF-certified coach. He coaches executive leaders, General Counsel, and senior attorneys in career transition.

Steve is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership with an emphasis on organizational innovation and change through the University of the Pacific.

He earned his law degree from UC Law in San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where he later served as a trustee of the UC Law SF Foundation.
